Let's look at some types of this tool and their uses:

Balloon wire

It is balloon shaped and is an everyday wire. It is suitable for the incorporation of dry ingredients, preparation of creams, thick mixtures.

French wire

It looks like a balloon whisk but its wires are narrower and this makes it able to get into the corners of a pot and pick up the ingredients when making béchamel, mayonnaise or any other French sauce. It is not suitable for solid doughs that stick to the wires and cannot be easily cleaned.

Wire with balls on the end

In this beater, the wires do not loop but have small balls at the ends to allow them to mix materials in narrow containers, such as measuring cups.

Danish wire

It is also called dough wire because it is used to incorporate the dough effortlessly.

Mini wire

It is a small balloon whisk that is very handy for beating one or two eggs or making a small amount of mayonnaise or vinaigrette.

Spiral or Scandinavian wire

The wire has the shape of the letter C and is suitable for making sauce as the wires scrape the bottom and walls of the pot without damaging them
