Salad Fattouch (Fattouch)

Fattoush is a Lebanese and Middle Eastern salad in general, made with tomato, cucumber, radishes, fresh onions, green salad and a crispy pie. This wonderful salad is especially delicious with sumac and pie.
It's so delicious and filling that it can even replace a whole meal!

Equipment

  • 1 large bowl
  • 1 set of serving spoons

Ingredients
  

  • 1 small green salad cut up
  • 1 large cucumber cut into slices
  • 10 cherry tomatoes cut in half
  • 1 bunch of radishes cut into rings
  • 2 fresh onions cut into slices
  • 1/2 dry onion cut into thin slices
  • coarsely chopped parsley leaves and some whole leaves for decoration
  • coarsely chopped mint leaves and some whole leaves for decoration
  • Arabic pies, toasted and cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 Homepage grated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sumac
  • salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Make the pies at home or buy them, toast them or heat them with 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan. You can of course use stale bread and follow the same procedure.
    Cut the pies into pieces.
    Make the vinaigrette and refrigerate it.
    Put half of the cut vegetables in a deep bowl, add half of the pie pieces, the rest of the vegetables and again the rest of the pies. Pour over the vinaigrette and season with salt and pepper if needed. Garnish with parsley and mint leaves.
    Sprinkle with sumac

Notes

  1. To make your salad tasty and nutritious, choose fresh vegetables and herbs.
  2. Make or buy the pies and toast or heat them with 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan. You can of course use stale bread and we will follow the same process. Cut the pies into pieces and add them to the salad between the vegetables and on top, thus finishing the preparation.
  3. Make the vinaigrette and refrigerate it.
  4. We definitely use the best quality olive oil 
  5. We do not forget the sumac which is a spice with an acidic taste and flavours our dishes.
  6. If you have pomegranate molasses you can add a teaspoon, it gives a special taste.
