Cake with apples

Apple cake, addictive, full of sweet smells of cinnamon and apple. It's perfect for your afternoon coffee, your tea, but can brilliantly accompany your Sunday breakfast too. At its heart are sweet, crisp and juicy apples.

Equipment

  • 1 mixer
  • 1 cake tin
  • 1 platter
  • 1 silicone spatula

Ingredients
  

  • 150 gram. butter
  • 175 gram. brown sugar
  • 3 eggs medium
  • 165 gram. milk
  • 80 gram. nuts Coarse
  • 250 gram. self-rising flour
  • 2 apples cut into cubes
  • 100 gram. brown sugar for the apples
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 vanillin
  • 2 presses cinnamon for the cake mix
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions
 

  • 1, In a mixer's bowl, add the butter and sugar.
    2. Beat until the sugar melts and the mixture becomes fluffy.
    3. Pour the eggs one by one, waiting for the previous one to be absorbed each time.
    4. add the salt, vanilla and cinnamon
    5. Add the sifted flour alternately with the milk.
    6. Continue beating until the flour is incorporated,
    7. Peel the apples and cut into cubes.
    8. Add the sugar, cinnamon and walnuts to the apple cubes. Mix well.
    9. Butter and flour a cake tin.
    10. Pour half of the mixture into the pan, spread half of the apples on top and continue with the rest of the mixture and finish with the remaining apples.
    11. Bake for 45 minutes. Test with a knife to see if it comes out clean from the center of the cake. 
    12. After the cake is baked, let it cool in the middle of the pan and then remove from the pan.
    13.Let it cool completely and sprinkle with icing sugar and walnuts or thin slices of apple.
     

Notes

@ The apples I recommend are the hard and crisp apples like fugi and not the sour apples
@ Because every oven is different at 35 minutes of baking, we test in the usual way, by inserting a thin knife or a skewer in the centre of the cake. If these come out clean with no uncooked dough then the cake is done. Otherwise, continue baking for another 10 minutes. 
@ To keep the cake fresh and juicy, wrap it in plastic wrap.
@ instead of diced apples we can use apple sauce here
